From master planning to construction documents, Travis has aided in the completion of interior redesigns as well as new projects built from the ground up.”

Starting with us in mid 2013, Travis has gained an array of experience from big-picture concepts and master plans, to seeing a project finalize under construction. He has designed 21st Century Learning Environments throughout the world including the United States, Canada, Israel, and China—adjusting design ideologies and techniques tailored to unique cultures. Those schools include:

  • Hillel Day School of Metro Detroit (Farmington Hills, MI)
  • Temple Israel (West Bloomfield, MI)
  • Magnificat High School (Cleveland, OH)
  • St. Martin de Porres High School (Cleveland, OH)
  • St. George’s School (Vancouver, Canada)
  • AMIT Gogya Teacher Academy (Ra’anana, Israel)
  • AMIT Kfar Batya Educational Campus (Ra’anana, Israel)
  • Yew Chung International School Campuses (Beijing/Shanghai/Chongqing/Hong Kong, China)
  • Yew Wah International Education School Campus (Beijing, China)

Graduating with his Bachelors of Science in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University (LTU) in 2013, Travis immediately pursued a professional career with us. Two years later, he enrolled in LTU’s Masters of Architecture program and plans to graduate in the summer of 2018. He gained valuable skills throughout his undergraduate career that translated well to professional practice, with his most current studies focusing heavily on design research. His education and professional experience has taught him how to deal with immediate circumstances, but also challenge norms and progress thought.

During his undergraduate stint, Travis was involved in some unique programs including the conceptualization of the M1 Rail infrastructure within downtown Detroit, MI—partnering with a well-established developer. He also studied abroad for three weeks in Beijing, Shanghai and Suzhou, China; as well as gaining valuable experience with digital fabrication processes and methods through the makeLab™.

His graduate pursuits have led him to be passionate about environmental design as it pertains to ethological and ecological impacts. He believes that designing with one’s surroundings, pleasurable atmospheres can be created. It is through careful consideration and planning that occupants of spaces can thrive holistically, instead of in isolation.

Travis has capably and gracefully risen to the numerous challenges we have thrown at him.”
