CIERRA MANTZ, AIA
Cierra brings her unique background in both education and architecture to our Fielding team. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon as well as Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Societal Change from Soka University of America. Cierra has worked as a middle school science teacher which has deepened her understanding of inquiry-based learning and the U.S. education system.
Her career in architecture has spanned all phases, from schematic design through construction administration, and she has a strong background in project management. Throughout her career she has worked on projects within various building sectors including: sustainability planning for the operation, maintenance, and renovation of commercial real estate and design for residential, retail, and educational facilities.
Her recent projects include: Hopkins Public Schools, District-Wide Educational Master Planning in Hopkins, Minnesota; Pinnacles Prep Charter School, Educational Master Planning and Learning Environment Design: Renovation and adaptive reuse project + new high school design in Wenatchee, Washington; and, Salisbury Township School District, District-Wide Architectural Master Planning in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
As a former gymnast and diver, Cierra enjoys a variety of physical and acrobatic pursuits. When she’s not in the office, you’ll often find her cycling around the Twin-Cities, rock climbing at the gym or the crag, or at a capoeira roda.
